Medication Collection Bin

Medicine collection bin located at Boone County Sheriff’s Office

Protect your family and the environment by properly disposing of your unwanted and expired medicines.  Medicines in the home are a leading cause of accidental poisoning and flushed or trashed medicines can end up polluting our waters.  Rates of prescription drug abuse are alarmingly high.  The Boone County Sheriff’s Office offers a free and safe way to get rid of your unwanted or expired medicine by providing a secure drop box for disposal.  The box is located in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office and can be dropped off 24 hours a day.

Note:  No Sharps (Needles)!!!  You can safely dispose of them at the Boone County Health Department 116 W. Washington Street, (Basement)
